Do you like blue hair? Apparently, I do!

Tonight I decided to dye my hair. It has been a long awaited process that I was sort of fearing. And now I know why... I dyed it reddish brown. On the box it was so pretty and mostly brown...darker brown. My hair turned orange. Not brownish orange, not reddish orange. Just orange. Guess since my hair has been dyed (highlighted) blond for so long. The lighter colors soak up the darker ones better. DUH! And after it was all said and done, I remembered my hair dresser(s) saying, "don't ever dye your hair blond from a store bought box. And when you get it highlighted don't ever dye it (darker) anything w/ red in it." My natural hair color is too dark to dye it blond myself. And silly me, I didn't want to keep paying an arm and a leg every 3-4 mo. to get my hair 'touched up.' So, I went darker. Back to the color part of the story... Since my hair was orange. I went to the store and bought a darker color to take away any blond/orange left over. It was blackish brown. And now my hair is so so dark, it looks blue! I look like someone who is trying really hard to be a member of the White Stripes. I am not exaggerating either. You know when your 3 year old looks at you and says, "oh mommy I looove your hair. I loooove the color blue, ummm, and yes, I like black too." I know it is not the end of the world. And I do not care too much but when I see myself in the mirror I actually jump. It is so shocking and different for me. Matt likes it, or he says he does. My mom actually said, "ohhh now that sounds pretty." hahah! Anyone who knows my mom knows that, that doesnt sound like something she'd say. I seriously thought she'd cry! And she might. She hasn't seen it yet. I just described it to her. Anywho, just felt like typing some unimportant nonsense.

sooo sleepy

So, my 7 mo. old, Laney did not take a nap today. She assumes she doesnt need a nap I guess. But you know what they say about assuming? Ass-u-me! haha! Whatever. Matt is in the shower, Kayli is running around like a maniac. Laney is fussing cuz she wants out of her hop-n-pop. Or it could be because she is tired. I wonder? I need to take them outside. It is a beautiful day. Today, I feel lazy though. I do not feel like going outside. Kayli woke up at 4am and ran over to my bed. It was apparently time for chit chatting. I have such issues w/ being "constant" w/ my discipline. It depends on my mood and if I am 'awake' enough at 4am to put her in her own room. Usually I just let her stay in our room, again, me being lazy and unconstant. So here I am, with 2 children, confused about what is right and wrong. Maybe I should take Kayli up for a nap while I take a nap. Leave Matt w/ Laney for a little. So I can get my sanity back, atleast til tomorrow at 4am. And Kayli will be able to enjoy her day/eve. w/out being so tired. Did I mention that Kayli usually doesnt take naps? I am lucky if she goes down for 45 mins. once a week. My fault though...You know I have NO IDEA how people (jerusha) do it w/ 2 or more kids. I wish I could go back and be more constant w/ my discipline. I do not think it is too late to start though. Too bad for Laney I am really gonna crack the whip (not literally) w/ her.

my first blog entry, ever

I see that blogs are the new thing now. This is a good way to get some thoughts out or post some pics to send to the rest of the family or keep people updated on our lives. Or it could be because my children are in bed, my husband is out w/ a friend and I have the house to myself. Sorta strange...almost too quiet. And I feel I need something to keep me busy. So, this may be my only post, ever. My first and last. I know Matt (my husband) will laugh when I tell him I created a blog. Kayli (my 3 yr old) will ask, over and over and over and over again, "whats that?" "whats a blog?" "what a flog?" "Did you say blog or flog?" "Oh yes, uh-huh, I got one of those at Torget the ozer day." And so on... And Laney (my 7 mo. old) will just cry. Why did the font all of a sudden just change? Hmmm...here are some pics. of us. the Hose family. Actually, you know, I do not know if I have pics of all of us. Mostly just the kids. Matt will flip a switch if I put his pic on a blog. Unless. he is holding a sword of somekind. Maybe I can ask him to pose for me w/ a sword. That wont give anything away, will it?
